Get ready for a huge update! Level 4 isn't just another mission—it's a whole new way to play the game. We're moving beyond simple hacks and introducing a world of choices, consequences, and some seriously cool new tools. You're about to become a double agent, caught between two powerful groups. Who will you side with?

Choose Your Side: The Double Agent Life

For the first time, your choices truly matter. You're now working for two opposing factions at the same time!

• Meet the Crew: You'll still be working with Bit from AB.net, but now you've also been recruited by Regi, a cynical but brilliant hacker from the hacktivist group Darkfield.
• A Tough Choice: Right from the start, you'll get two conflicting missions—one from each handler. Do you help AB.net plant a virus, or do you help Darkfield steal a secret file? You can only pick one, and your choice will have consequences.
•  The Suspicion Meter: Watch your back! Completing a job for one side will make the other suspicious of you. You can track how much each faction trusts (or distrusts) you in your Monitor app. Don't make too many enemies!

Stay Hidden: The New "Trace" System ⚠️

Think you can hack without leaving a trail? Think again.

• Don't Get Caught: Your new Darkfield tools are powerful, but they're also noisy. Using them increases your Trace level. The higher your Trace, the closer you are to getting caught.
• High Risk, High Reward: Use a powerful automated tool to grab a file quickly? Your Trace will skyrocket. Do it the old-fashioned, manual way? You'll be much stealthier.
• Big Consequences: If your Trace gets too high, it's game over for that session. Your system will crash, you'll lose money, and your precious purchased tools will be wiped!
• The Escape Button:  The abort command is now your best friend. Use it to disconnect and instantly reset your Trace to zero. Hack, get out, and live to hack another day.

Get Paid, Get Geared Up: The Darknet Store 💰

It's time to spend that hard-earned cash. A new darknet command gives you access to a black market full of powerful new toys.

• Your Starter Pack: Both factions are paying for your services, so you'll start with 1200 in your account. Spend it wisely!
• Awesome New Gear:
  • tor.toolkit: Your key to safely browsing the Deep Web. Essential for any serious hacker.
  • ai.bug: A sneaky little consumable that can trick your AI handlers (Bit or Regi) into spilling secrets they shouldn't.
  • Backdoor Key: Want a permanent, VIP pass back into a server you've cracked? This is it. No password needed.
• Check Your Stash: Use the new inventory command to see all the cool gear you've bought.

Dive into the Deep Web 🕵️

• Go Exploring: The Deep Web is where you'll find the clues you need to complete your missions—think hidden passwords, server IPs, and more.
• Surf Safely: Remember that tor.toolkit you bought? It gives you a limited number of "safe" jumps. If you run out or go in unprotected, your Trace will shoot through the roof.

Master the Darkfield Toolkit 💻

Hacking is no longer just connect and password. The Darkfield toolset turns hacking into a multi-step puzzle.

1. SCAN for hidden networks (df.scan).
2. PATH a route to get in (df.pathing).
3. CONNECT to the target (df.connect).
4. SPIKE the login with a generated key (df.spike & df.login).
5. EXPLORE the network to find what you need (df.loc, df.link).
6. STEAL the goods! Either quickly and loudly (df.search) or slowly and quietly (df.file).

This is our biggest update yet, and it puts you in the driver's seat. Your choices, your tools, your consequences.
